We are pleased to announce that we have become partners of the “Responsibility Award 2023”
War is a difficult period when each of us witnesses acts of heroism and trials that make us reflect on our actions and moral principles.
The highest degree of responsibility is to defend one’s country. At the same time, thousands of people serve the country in various ways.
Ordinary people do extraordinary things when they unite and support each other. True responsibility lies in realizing that we are all part of one human family, and only together can we overcome the trials of war.
On January 22, the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the award ceremony took place,
recognizing civil society organizations and their stories of responsible partnership, which, during times of full-scale war, are the best examples of cross-sectoral interaction. Finalists and laureates were selected in three categories.
Laureates:
– In the category “Community Responsible Partnership Story,” the laureate was “Chornomortsi Garrison” with the project “Shelter TT”;
– In the category “National Partnership Project,” the laureate was “Ukraїner” with the project “Brave Cities”;
– In the category “Interaction without Borders: Ukraine to the World,” the laureate was “Docudays” with the project “War Archive.”
Jury member of the Award, veteran, reserve captain, and deputy director of the “Return Alive” Foundation, Oleh Karpenko, shared how difficult it was to choose the laureates:
“What personally touched and impressed me the most was the story about memory. About how to build projects that will bring benefits for many years to come, tell our story, and, without exaggeration, build the future.”
The stories of responsible partnership gathered by the Award became an inspiration and motivation for even greater interaction to strengthen Ukraine. A special musical program by the Mariupol Chamber Orchestra
“Renaissance” filled the event
with an unforgettable atmosphere.
